Have an in of a 520d Xdrive sport touring that i think would be a fairly low cost swap if i sell the F11.

Ever since I have had the car the above has always been 1bar even when the engine is off. I presume the sensor is working as it climbs during acceleration. The differential pressure across the DPF drops to zero on engine off as you would expect. Really puzzling no fault codes logged, any ideas anyone? Or can someone check to compare if possible? I’m using BimmerLink.

Car : E39 523i auto built June '98 (note pre 09/98 DD42)

Recently had the a/c re-gassed on my 523i & all was going well with nice cold air, until a couple of days ago when the air output turned to warm.
My local garage (who did the RG) has checked the pressure, that the compressor is engaging/disengaging & all the air outlets buttons are functioning correctly. Employing the recirculate facility makes no difference to the output temp.

One theory...

As previously mentioned (in my "mid-life crisis" thread), I have been looking for a weekend toy, something that is usable as a daily car but also something that is different, fun and will give me the ability to fettle. So those that may recall my previous posts, I jumped ship from X5, in to my LR Discovery 5 HSE Lux. Here I completed almost 4 years of ownership. The PCP was nearing end and unfortunately the final payment was a good few grand more than the value. A couple of weeks ago I checked the coolant level on my E39 523i (pre 9/98 M52) & found that the level had risen slightly above the max mark. Today the level was even higher in the expansion tank.
Checks are always made following an overnight stand, there's no sign of overheating with the hidden menu displaying 102-105 degrees even in the current heat wave. The car runs faultlessly, has received both radiator & expansion tank within...
