I used to have a white E36 320i and come resale time I virtually gave it away as no one wanted white. Once bitten twice shy.

 

well i am back home and another 126 mile rip home from the airport completed with ease, it is a real comfortable cruising machine and it is so quite compared to the old car

it has sat outside all week at an airport parking lot and it has manchester has obviously had a bit of rain as the car is quite dirty and there are a couple of areas that i would say pools water like where the roof joins the bootlid and the lip on the bootlid as these areas have collected dust/dirt where the rain has washed it off the car, also where the rear window glass joins the half boot the rubber seal there looks to be another area where rain water is collecting

got about another 500 miles to do tomorrow and monday then it will be parked for a few days before it is off for some TLC and pampering to the paintwork

 

I have now done around 1100 miles in my ownership and i am loving the car more every time i drive it

no brim to brim tests for fuel consumption but the on board computer is sitting at 42.8 MPG which is not to bad, one of the features i found very useful yesterday was the speed limit control, i was on the A14 near godmanchester where they have the average speed cameras on the road without any roadworks, so the limit set to 70 and jobs a good'un

I used to set the cruise control in roadworks with average speed cameras and will now find this feature very useful

I am not to sure about the stop/start and have taken to turning it off, but the auto/active lights are fantastic and is another feature of the car that will be very useful around here being rural and mainly non lit A roads

 

Great cars aren't they, sounds like you're finding your way around it.

The combination of the cruise control, speed limit display (with HUD) and the ability to set a speed limit was an excellent feature in my F02 - so i know exactly what you mean.

42mpg from such a big luxurious car is fantastic, and relevant to the ongoing discussion in another thread about real world mpg figures.
