A fab day out at Oulton Park. Some fabulous cars present and great racing on the circuit. Loved the E9 CSL and Alpina V8 Touring which looked like a Japanese import
Oh and I got drive this car back....now with over 600bhp following an AC Schnitzer remap that keeps the BMW warranty intact. Easily the fatest thing I have ever driven...albeit I took it easy on UK roads!
What a weapon! When I drove my Uncle’s 991.1 TurboS with 650bhp, it was by far and away the fastest thing I’d ever driven. I can still remember now the way the boost came in. Terrifying but I can imagine, additive once you’re used to it. What a great neighbour you have!
Great pictures and thank you for sharing them - I particularly loved the Imola E38 and of course the Z8’s. And yes, the Alpina B10 V8 Touring is a Japanese import to compliment the 12 UK cars.
It does look like Imola Red however it is Hellrot, an Individual 728i with piped leather. Was chosen for the BMW UK display section. I really liked the fully extended leather individual interior of the E39 B10 touring.
Yes can't wait to stretch it's legs in Europe in a few months. It picks up speed so quickly even on half throttle and remains so planted to the road. A highly impressive machine.
Thanks for sharing some lovely cars there although I have to say that I think the interior of that Alpina B10 V8 is an acquired taste!
The white E12 M535i and the white M635csi were both for sale. Looked like the same owner of both as number advertised was the same. No prices advertised though!
Great pics. I'm past the high power stuff and actually loved the E21 (?) 323i as that was one of the cars that made me want a BMW - or even better the Alpina equivalent.
