Pricing will be daft is suspect. Mine was around £63K “base” and then £71K with options. Thankfully I negotiated a healthy discount, even so it is a lot of money. Maybe another 8-15% on the new version.

Ooo interesting, looks like the next gen could be fun.

funny enough I had a call from the dealership yesterday wanting to book me in for a test drive of the new M3 when it is launched. Have been given two days with it whenever it lands on these shores. They really want my car but I am not interested in the new one at all - yet

'Drift Moment' brings a smile to my face.

X-Drive would take all the fun out of Alpine passes for me - so this model might be a possibility.

If only there was a diesel version.

I would guess at circa £80k+options.
My m440i gc had nearly every option ticked including the individual paint which brought the list to over 90k for the first owner!

The xdrive in the M340i is very rear biased, pretty much RWD unless it senses the need for front traction. The rear can be very engaging when promoted, especially with the M Performance diff. Certainly not a neutral 4WD system such as in the Audi range of recent years.

I watched the M350 on the Remove Before Race RBR YouTube channel last night. He does an thorough breakdown of the changes to the chassis and how much different this car will be to the i3 particularly externally where it would appear it is a completely different platform.

Looks an exciting package. Let's hope for a touring too.

It does look an impressive proposition although if the i3 model can really achieve a reliable range of 500 miles + on a single charge that really will be a game changer and probably where most sales will be

From what I have read the i3 sounds to be an excellent car in many respects. However, this isn’t on my radar as things stand, hence a keen look at the replacement for the current G20/1 M340i.

Started to see a lot of photos appear over the last couple of days and it looks like an ultra modern interpretation of the 3 series, and one that really works at that.
I remember the last new 3 series being quite jarring compared to what had came before it, but I think this has gone far away enough in design to just be a cracking looking car in its own right.

I am kind of liking the exterior but what the hell is going on with the interior. That steering wheel is an abomination and I am not feeling all the displays at the base of the windscreen.

My dealership has been in contact about me going on the list for an M3 but I am not interested. All they say is they want my car (of course they do!!) and how good the new one will be. I have it for two days when it gets released but I am not feeling it, I don’t want a probably near 2.4 tons hybrid M3. But that interior to me is a rotter - and you can’t even adjust the vents without going on the screen that now has no idrive controller. Just wrong to me.

does anyone ever adjust the vents apart from opening and closing. I like the displays under the windscreen and lets be honest, all cars have too many screens, too few buttons and dials and too many nanny aids these days. Give me a 2019 interior over a current one any day!

My f10 m5 was perfection and even my first g80 m3 was very good.

The steering wheel looks as though it has come from one of the Whacky Racers cars….can’t see how that would work in the real world.
