To be perfectly honest my decision path & exploits left a very bitter taste in regards to the used car market I quickly realised its a block of metal with a price, a commodity of finance not a car, a pride and joy or otherwise To the market it’s simply money and moving it around to make more, with a bolt on insurance policy that’s sold if your not happy with anything, if you don’t purchase, tough, deal with consequences There is the exception but few and far between! Note, circa 16days to go!
I’m looking at Opti coat pro & pro + However I wouldn’t be surprised if I stick with Scholl s20 & s30 with a coat of Collinte Marques de elegance Primary I have the kit, though also enjoy the effort and results.... we shall see, haven’t thought that far ahead I did manage to get a Thule Wing Bar Evo Roof Bar set and x3 Thule Cycle carriers, only to realise my 27.5+ may not fit, so may have to revert to towbar route! Unsure on service plan, I believe the plan x2 services for £149 can be purchased at any point prior to the first service..... Yet again unsure!
All to easy to get carried away, opti coat is a ceramic coating, pro is said to last 5 years & pro+ is meant to be good for 7 Different brand from the popular gtechniq We shall see, hectic work schedule this next couple of months etc etc
you dont strike me as the ideal customer for ceramic coatings, with a ceramic the best way to care for it is to wash it and dry it and that is it, if you do go for ceramic then you will be negating the properties of the coating if you add anything else to it, so no polishing or no lotions and potions at wash time just a basic wash ceramic is good but it is not the right coating for somebody that likes to do more than just wash a car
I’d fully agree... I have C4 permanent trim restorer and c5 wheel armour in the bucket I’d only be cheating and denying myself...... I looked at the X5 this morning (was sold to garage at very fair price) Just Wow! I’d buy it again for its shine alone! So there is some afterownership merit in the effort!
Enjoy it. Looking forward to some more pictures when you get it. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck with the new car My Canadian friend has the petrol version and it’s very nice inside... he likes it a lot... but he’s a Merc man..but I don’t like the lack of integration of the ‘iPad’ ....it’s not professional enough for me.. I won’t it built in... ala... e / s. class...now...that’s why I like the older 5 series’ cars... To me it looks like my sons just bolted it on... because his windscreen mounted Tom Tom has just packed in yesterday.... I totally agree with everything you guys are saying about customer satisfaction and brand loyalty... there is none anymore.., me personally... I want a small Porsche in the future.... but as for big cars... I’m liking the Audi interiors at the mo.... tho I’ve never sat in one in the flesh... materials may not be what they seem on pics.... I’ve had E class coupe... 30 years I yearned for that car.... it did not impress... neither did the dealer... nor customer service... I was glad to see it go... and it is not in the same league as the 640d.... which still never fails to impress me... see how you go... will be interesting especially after the @co. Venture into RR territory... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
