Time to change the above as it’s throwing 287500 & 287100 codes. Any advice would be appreciated regarding removal ? Is it done hot or cold? What is the nm for tightening the new sensor? Trying to save some money and do it myself, have ordered a 22mm crow foot socket.

Car is still on original DPF @ 199k miles

An epic 250 mile drive round the Yorkshire Dales today, roof down all day and perfect weather being a little cooler.

Road from the CB Inn to the Tan Hill closed so took the diversion 50 yards before the CB Inn. If Carlsberg did diversions! I'll check it out again before October and may incorporate it.

On my side, consumed by travel. As you all know, we were in Holland in the motorhome around half-term but since I've been back, it's been schlepping around London, then a week in Hanover, just got back and off to Frankfurt again next week. I'm hoping for a quieter lead in to summer but still have another couple of trips around Europe planned with work before end-July.

We had a conversation at work the other day:

“If money were no object and you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?”

And I found myself thinking to myself “I’ve just bought it”

So it begins, the ownership diary for my 2019 MY20 Porsche Carrera 2S (992 gen 1). It’s a two owner car with a shade over 35k on the clock when I collected it from Official Porsche Centre - Portsmouth yesterday.

It’s a pretty unique spec, across the board....

As previously mentioned (in my "mid-life crisis" thread), I have been looking for a weekend toy, something that is usable as a daily car but also something that is different, fun and will give me the ability to fettle. The 987 Boxster seemed to fit that bill very nicely indeed, settled after a test drive last week.

Today was collection day, and a day of contrasts. I drove Mrs W's Honda EV to the train station for us...

Yes, after some consideration I've decided to get trade in the Focus. It's not been too bad, but leaking battery at 3 years old and the MOT showing it was burning fuel, did send off some alarm bells about longevity of keeping it, coupled with recently a strange screeching noise when on full lock only to not be able to duplicate it so slight concern there also, not sure if it will come back or not. Also, car is now approx. 3.5 years old and still not too sure about the wet belt...

As mentioned in the ordering thread, we arrived at Cotswolds at 11:30am, bang on time. I parked the M2 up and disconnected the owner account, said good bye and walked into meet the new car. Mark, the salesman, took us over to the bay where the car was sat under the cover, we ordered a coffee each...

Unfortunately mainly due to a catalogue of unfortunate disasters including the death in a car crash of it's owner, BMW insisting on removing "BMW" from the forum name and a complete loss of data in a format hosting change the site is no longer viable.

So not been on here for a while, purely because lack of BMW but I do like to pop in every now and again.

So those that may recall my previous posts, I jumped ship from X5, in to my LR Discovery 5 HSE Lux. Here I completed almost 4 years of ownership. The PCP was nearing end and unfortunately the final payment was a good few grand more than the value. With that in mind I, I considered other options, including the next replacement being another Discovery 5....
