Apologies if this has been answered before but even after doing a search here on the Land, I'm still none the wiser which oil is appropriate, let alone best for my F11 520d. Euro Car Parts appear to do a bogof offer tonight and I thought that might be a good occasion to get some in for my pending (first) service. Are garages generally ok with customers bringing their own engine oil?
No Because @Merc? No. BM! is a man and men are not allowed to read instruction manuals or handbooks, and if you do have to sneak a look you are not allowed to admit it as you will be shunned by all other males of the species
NOOOO you have just broken one of the rules of being a man, sneak a look but never ever admit that you have turned a page of your cars handbook
Having always serviced my own cars, I've taken the view that oils and lubricants are the life blood that keep the mechanical parts functioning for a long life. Because of that, I would always buy the best quality oil in the correct grade from companies such as Mobil, Castrol etc. rather than cheaper alternatives. You should be able to get good advice from Opie Oils who can also supply any oil at competitive prices. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/?gclid=C...DZ7tmySCY1axUXYvbOzZR3OBuINKVqVYaAngzEALw_wcB
