Just saw an article on top gears Twitter page on the new Porsche. My view is it’s absolutely stunning
That’s very stunning isn’t it! Porsche’s really get on my tits! There I’ve said such profanity Every time I look, I desire and pine, turn to the wife and say “ Can I” with puppy dog eyes, she always says “yeah if you want” She know Dahm fine I want! Thankfully self restrained!
That's gorgeous. On the subject of new Porsche. Ordered a Taycan Turbo, hopefully due November. Mostly due to the massive saving on BIK, so overall as the owner of the company I will be better off. That said it took TG review to convince me, my biz partner was chomping at the bit whereas I just adore my Panamera. Over lockdown ( I am working as we are a critical supplier -I could bore you with things we have been involved with for Covid - one involved Rolls Royce Controls though), I have hardly had my engine on and currently I am over 90mpg having done over 600 local miles since back from the Philippines on March 15th, so a full EV isn't a massive issue for me. Only downside is the dog, or perhaps if we do Scotland or Lyon again, so we need to change the Mini for something dog friendly, prob an XC60 or an Evoque.
My boss has a macan gts is battle ship grey as I say to him to wind him up. You’d easily get the dog in the back of on of those.
That does look very nice.. Not quite the same but I might be talking to a dealer about this... https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/911-Carrera-S-150584
Good choice, and with a 2 year warranty for peace of mind. When you've bought it let us know how you get the weekly shopping in it!!
It will be going no where near a super market car park if I get it! . As part of the 'deal' the wife's 1 series may be updated to an X3 and that can do the shopping duties
That's beautiful, pure automotive porn , but like @Jonnyg123 I'll never be able to have one Before committing, have a read of potential problems with the PDK 'box - I remembered I'd read somewhere about this [might have been Honest John reviews, but this is appropriate [yes, it's PH, but......] https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=230&t=1751689 And this one too https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1100019-pdk-failure-and-outcome-story.html Seems like it's vital to have the 'proper' Porsche extended with these if available - I can't see any aftermarket warranty covering a replacement "Wear & tear innit, Guv". Failures/problems might be few and far between, but The Law of sod and all that. Please keep us updated with your decision.
Very nice with all the right extras. Only thing is the Porsche dealers are closed aren’t they? Mine certainly is.
Hi Ian yes the dealer is closed and it is 150 miles from me but have been in email communication with them. You are right on the options particularly for me sports exhaust, damper control and sunroof. As for the PDK box I cannot believe I am looking at an automatic Porsche but the box in the 6 series is sublime and I must be getting old as changing gear in a manual car just feels a bit of a chore.. I have heard the horror stories but if I buy with a 2 year warranty and keep it up then hopefully I am covered.. My sons are both now at Uni (albeit back home at the minute) I am 50 in December and would love another 911 so if I don't get one now when will I and I have the green light from the wife. Watch this space, I am in no hurry and still torn on whether to sell my 944 if I am honest as I have now owned for over almost 23 years and it has still only done 78K miles.. a picture from yesterday after a hose down and before a short run out
