To be fair any car can fail but I’ve run BMW warranties for the last few years as I simply do not have time to tinker with cars anymore. I have just extended the warranty on my Macan and good job I did as it had a new transfer box a couple of weeks ago at 3 years and one month old and 14k miles. So, don’t over think it, get the M6, get the warranty, enjoy!
PS, I had ivory leather in my 535d and I found it very easy to keep looking nice. Baby wipes are your friend.
Happy days! Our porsche has been pretty damn good to be fair to it, I only bought the baby engined cayenne as a tester and aside from some annoyances - Wiper mechanism sheared from chassis Intermittent 02 sensor The main gripe now has become the rear holding release valves but its still drives fine at normal speed, we have stuck 30k miles across the UK and France and its been solid, its at 108k miles now and Ill be giving it to my Dad to keep it in the family as its practicality is brilliant. Luckily ill replace that with a BMW 1 series or something for the wife
Brief update - After chatting with the seller he has dropped the price to 15k as another M6 appeared in Glasgow with similar benefits but was 13k As long as he sends me the relevant bits tonight regarding the warranty and service history looks like ill be the owner of an M6 next week
Chatted with seller and we are either going to meet on Monday evening or Tuesday morning if all being well. Price is set Admiral multi car brings insurance down to £870 had to take the wife off as it shot up to 2.3k I'll do a walk around etc when I actually get my hands on it And found out he paid 25k for it and the receipts he has sent show full dealer service history so one of the first things I'll do is get that recall sorted.
Deposit left on the car He is getting it booked in to fix the parking sensors and get a oil/brake fluid change done then I'll be back up to collect it. Had a drive of it and in auto mode it's actually really nice and felt similar to the cayenne. Gave it some Welly as well and Jesus it gathers speed at an alarming rate!! Can't wait to get the machine on the drive already got a full valet and protection booked
This Saturday coming, I was going to go boxing day but it seems the in-laws are booked in and I'm not even going to suggest that to the missus . Means next Saturday you poor people will be murdered by photos
Look forward to some pictures. You should have been brave and picked it up on Boxing Day in the morning. I would have done and also made my wife drive me there to get it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I spoke too soon it would appear... The parking sensors need to be ordered from Germany so the colour matches and they wont be due until January I did consider paying for it myself and taking the car Saturday however the bill was - £520.. for 2 parking sensors. This way it will be done under warranty. The silver lining at least is its had a health check and is 100% the recall has been done so I will be getting a tip top car but still I want it now
Shame. The wait will be longer and will drag on but it will be worth it in the end. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
