Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed that when I unlock the car the seats do move but not to the correct position.
But if I then press number 1 which is set for my key everything adjusts a little bit more to where it’s supposed to be.

    any ideas would be appreciated

    thanks john

First thought would be have you swapped the keys over recently?

    Kindest Regards
    Carl.

No mate we both have our own keys to our own setting
Everything moves seats mirrors but they seem to be a bit off they don’t got all the way to the setting chosen

ie my seats a bit far forward and the mirror is dipped down on the drives side but if I press no 1 which is my setting it moves a bit more to where I did set it

it’s as if it’s working but stops short of the full movement

And if I then press m and 1 so the key should remember the settings when I lock the door
It just does the next time

The saved position is separate from where the seat goes to when unlocked. When unlocked it should return to the position it was in when last locked with that key, obviously that still isn’t happening but it is separate to the memory buttons.

It’s strange as everything was fine up to last week

Wait to see what everybody else says but I'd be tempted to disconnect the battery and then reset everything.
Don't do it yet as someone who knows what they're talking about may come along and tell you I'm wrong!

    Kindest Regards
    Carl.

The battery state is low. Put it on trickle charge. When my X3 was left parked for some time all funny sorts of things happened like the car lost its time settings. Also other normal electrical items shut down. Purchasing a CTEK battery charger worked for me!
