usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202004168968226 wonder how many enquires they have on that bargain basement 6GT
Well I tried to buy it with my Visa Card. I went all the way through the purchase and at the very end got this message: Thank you for trying to make a payment. Unfortunately there was a technical problem and we could not take a payment. Your card has not been charged. Please try again later.
I tried again and the payment of the £500 deposit went through, Yippee - I've just bought a 620D!!!!! Lets see what happens next.
I've just checked my credit card and the deposit payment is shown as 'pending'. I've also got a screen-shot with the authorization and transaction reference number. I don't know if I can hold them to anything - but I'll have a go - if only for a bit of fun. I reckon I'll get a phone call in the morning. By all means have an ask - I'm sure by Saturday I'll have had some communication from them.
Now I've had an email confirming receipt of my deposit and they will contact me in the morning regards paying the balance of the £3875.00 cost of the 640D. I can't wait for the morning call. Looking forward to travelling South to Farnborough in Hampshire to collect it.
somebody is going to be panicking in the morning when the realise they have just sold a brand new 6GT that should have been £38750.00 for £3875.00 wonder how the phone call will go
Shopping online Your legal rights depend on something fairly tricky in the law: whether or not you have a ‘contract’. Depending on the company’s terms and conditions, you’ll have legal rights (and a contract) either: once you’ve paid for the item once they’ve sent it to you You’ll need to find the company’s terms and conditions to find out where you stand. Contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline if you need help. It may be too tricky to work out yourself. If you have a contract, the company can’t usually cancel your order, even if they realise they’ve sold you something at the wrong price. They’ll only be able to cancel it if it was a genuine and honest mistake on their part that you should’ve noticed. If you don’t have a contract and someone realises they’ve told you the wrong price, they can cancel your order.
Ah, but I've just paid a deposit - which they have accepted. So in my opinion there is a contract. Their e-mail even said how much of a balance there was to pay. Lets see what they say tomorrow. I might contact Citizens Advice Bureau.
You DO all realise it's LHD? Still, that's the bargain of the century.......... I anticipate a Staff vacancy at that Dealership........
Any advertised price is only an invitation to deal - seems they've done that though, by stating the balance to be paid. @Singvogel You have checked it's not a scam/copy website I take it? If so,they now have all your card details....prepare for a tsunami of purchases. If something looks too good to be true, it usually is..... Personally, I'd not pay any more funds over until I'd spoken to the Dealer Principal in person, and looking them up, not with that quoted number ......but I'm Mr Belt 'n Braces.
You're right to advise caution, but it's still on the genuine BMW Approved Used website for all to see. I didn't follow the link in the first post - I started at the search options beginning on the BMW pages.
it is on the BMW approved used website and popped up whilst l was browsing so it is a genuine BMW page but is clearly a mis priced advert. wouldn't it be cool if they did honour the sale
