My step-daughter and son-in-law hired a skip last week, when it was delivered they realised it was bigger than they thought. I was planning on hiring one to get rid of some old internal doors and fence panels and posts, so offered to pay towards theirs. Lovely. As they live 500yds away I decided to be brave and use my F32 for the job. Much preparation in getting the car ready, including a rubber boot mat and loads of sheets/towels, and I did three loads. Had to do two with the boot open, exhaust sounds brilliant like that. Ha. After three runs the only evidence is a small bit of vacuuming to do. Phew!!
Oh! Well done! I’m liking the 4 series just now! In both forms including the goofy one in diamond white! I do wish you’d not shown the practicalities..... Next you will say that a towbar is a feesible addition and really confuse my thoughts, that are fortunately some way off!
A tow bar couldn’t be further from my mind....however, could work as a cycle rack holder....hmmmm..... Slabs of concrete and post ballast went in as well. Vacuumed and back to normal now. SUV, estate....not for me.
good to see it getting used but not abused as you have obviously gone to great lengths to protect the interior and the bumper lip l have never been a big fan of two door coupes and now l am the wrong side of 60 they are even further off my radar but the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same l always said l would never buy an SUV but then l had never even driven one until a three week family holiday to Orlando we got a huge seven seat SUV with acres of room with all the seats up and over three weeks and a good few miles l warmed to the SUV thing and now would consider something the size of an X3 not sure l would want to go much bigger than that l was always a fan of hatchbacks and had three Mondeos so the 6 GT is a hatchback even if BMW say it isn't the only thing that worries me about dropping the seats and filling the back with rubbish is the back seat touch screens see very vulnerable and cant be easily removed
Nice work. Reminds me of the annual spring clear out around the corner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
This is my fourth coupe, had an Alfa GT, E92 325i, E92 320d and the current F32. When I had the Alfa my boys were 8 and 10, we still managed to carry all the camping gear, scooters etc. This has made my packing skills improve massively! Always loved the lines, of a proper coupe at any rate. My friend has a Passat CC, forever digging him that it’s just a Passat with a sloping roofline. I was worried the back of the driver/passenger seats would get scuffed, so used old decorating towels to cover them. Worked a treat.
The GT. Drove to the Amalfi coast for a friends wedding, this was on the journey back, the tunnels were closed in Switzerland due to traffic. And then the camping set up my boys and I loved. Totally practical cars....
Although the F30 did a reasonable job to be fair: The E92 was great as a camping machine. As was the last one:
Reading my posts make me wonder, have I had too many cars, do I go camping too much (although no camping at all in 2020) or do I just take too many photos??
that is what @snrbrtsn would use a tow bar for, a cycle carrier but he has mentioned in the past that he wants a tin tent
! Tin tent is cancelled for now..... Wow! So many camp sites and not a single kitchen sink, for camping I always end up filling boot and roof box. How I desire a night under the stars outwith the garden
I abandoned camping a while back, and handed the gear to my son. It mainly consisted of a Blacks A-frame mountain tent, complete with a fly sheet that cost as much as the tent, 2 duck-down Icelandic sleeping bags, 2 camping stools, a primus stove, kettle, and a couple of pots. Would have it down and all in the boot in less than 10 minutes. And for a couple of years that included fitting into the boot of a AH Sprite. Fond memories of one glorious late afternoon on the back of Snowden, the rain driven horizontally across the field, all the frame tents (and some so-called mountain tents) disappearing as fast as their owners could get them packed; felt quite smug at the time. I've reached the stage in my life that when I arrive at an over-night destination I expect to be able to order a couple of espressos, not to be erecting a tent. Actually, I reached that point quite a while back. As to are coupes practical. Depends what you want from you transport. But for me, if BMW hadn't offered the coupe I wouldn't have bought a BMW.
Don’t even think about putting me in there Mr Wynn!! These are MB library pictures that just happen to feature a shouts C63 T. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
