SWMBO has decided it's time to retire the E46 convertible and get a 4 series.

On the shortlist of cars is a purple one.

Does anyone know if this is a genuine factory colour ?

I've googled but haven't been able to find anything.

I know of a chap on another forum who had his 3 Series Touring painted San Marino blue, stunning looking thing but although it was a standard BMW colour it wasn't for the 3 Series so paid a pretty penny to have it done. It was definitely in the thousands. I suspect that if purple is a standard BMW colour but not for the 4 Series you'll face a similar cost.
