In the course of clearing out some [ REALLY  ] old CDs with back-ups on them, I came across this, a pic of my very first BMW and the one which started my love for the marque. e34 535i SE manual, can't remember the miles on her when I got her, but she served me well until I moved on to the e39.

Looks nice, but I bet those wheels were a bugger to clean properly

Not pretty, Murray. That was the greenkeepers' shed at the course I worked at - it collapsed under the weight of snow one Winter. All the equipment, tractors, mowers etc were inside but luckily no-one was around to be injured. Little damage to the contents either, as when the room caved, the timbers protected most of it.

Indeed they were, but they looked really good for about 10 miles......:D

    Love those
Was my introduction back into BMW’s with the same model in silver with Alpina wheels
Bought the car for the Engine note
    - bird defecated it.....
Long story short my now wife took the time to clean the bonnet with a scouring pad and has never washed a car since!
Every car has a tale & lasting memory!

Looks like the car was around until somewhere between 2007 and 2008 as no MOT/tax since. Car had 126,134 miles at the mot in Jan 2007, which it passed.

I think I sold it around 2005, Kevin - iirc to someone from the Bath/Bristol area.

A very nice old Beemer, John. (y) I'm guessing that it will be about the same size as my current F30 3 Series?

Still love the E34. It's my joint favourite Five Series, along with the E39. If refurbished back no new, I wonder what those wheels would fetch now?
