    Hi Everyone,
I have ordered an MSport model and wish to fit a dash cam, I have seen a video on YouTube
of a 5 series and there is a accessory point under the glove box which is a great idea instead of
using the accessory point in the centre console to power the dash cam.
I wonder if anyone who had a current model could check if this is fitted for me?
Thank you in advance for your help.

    Cheers
    Pete

    Hi Adie,
Thank you for the information, I have had a look at the brochure but can not find the option of 575, it doesn't seem to be included in any packs.

    cheers

I think they used to include the additional 12v sockets as part of the Extended Storage Pack, option 493 but don't know if this is still the case/which models it covers

    1 x under glovebox
1 x in rear on transmission tunnel
    1 x in boot

It’s still possible to discreetly get the power for the Dash Cam

One option is to run the wire from the glove box usb
Another option is to piggy back the nearside fusebox and take your power from a known ignition live feed

With either option you can wire in a power outlet or splice the wires
