the car is bmw 430d 2018 model. it was showing 1500 miles of adblue range left and 16 litres to top up on idrive so i put 15 litres(3x5 litres cans ) of redex adblue from costco and the range went up to 8000 miles and top up amount dropped from 16 litres to 3.5litres. so it seems 2.5 litres disappeared somewhere.-very strange any ideas?? and also the range only went up from 1500 to 8000 miles after top up (the redex adblue complies with ISO 22241-1 standard which is what bmw specify in their owners manual)
Sounds like there must be a 20 litre tank hidden away somewhere. I had no idea that we were carrying so much extra weight about with us. I don't think these i-drive figures are at all accurate - mine says I'm at 80% capacity and the top up needed is 5 litres. I didn't believe it, but it looks like it's about right - a big tank of ad-blue. Lord know why it has to be so big.
My G30 is not all that accurate when it comes to litres, so I tend just to watch the mileage countdown.
