That seems strange that you were willing to pay to change the brake fluid and they said it is not required, my car at present is covered by service inclusive and is the old product that covered the car for five years, BMW say that the first brake fluid change should be carried out at three years and any subsequent changes should be carried out after two years and if i am lucky this may also be covered under service inclusive as the change date is set on the production date and the service inclusive expires five years after the date of first registration

My dealer (Sytner Sheffield) sent me a video of when I took my car in for an MOT. The video stated "Your car has passed sir but this flexible joint could do with being replaced in the future, etc"
Imagine my surprise when I collected the car to tell me it had failed on brakes!

I mentioned the tech said it had passed in the video and found out the service guy had been given the wrong sheet! So now my MOT record shows a fail and a pass within 10 minutes of each other. Being electronic I cannot get the erroneous MOT failure expunged :(

Yeah I know, the service advisor works off the Key read, the service History (book) states it’s required the idrive contradicts this, so they work off the idrive.........
Not to worry, I’ll have it done nearer next winter and time it with an oil change and Mot

My dealer never sent me a video for my previous car but has with this car so I think this maybe a new thing dealers have started to do from 2016/2017 onwards?

When my dealer did my recall they did health check etc and paper work when i went back all handed to me as walking me out to the car so didn't have time to pay too much attention but as no money was changing hands i thought ok.

Got home, looking at the paper work only to find they had put down the wrong mileage! It was massively different, i can't remember what t was but I phoned them up and told them, turns out the young lady was having issues "multi tasking" and had put someone else's mileage down on my paper work, after she went to check she said we'd send you a new one in the post, so I said could it be sent via email which they agreed and sent me it via email. I wanted it correctly for fears of future "your mileage is less than last year, your cars been clocked etc".... didn't want any of that hassle. All the service advisers were new, never seen them before so i'm wondering if they are simply moving staff around or if they let the previous team go?

I have had a few videos from underneath various cars/ van.....Which have only ever been in the dealers to keep the warranty valid....!!!
The video is meaningless, when all they show you is the reg, underneath the car and the wheels and tyres....I know the condition of all that stuff before the car even goes in...
The video would mean something to me if you saw some actual work getting done....Ie. dropping the oil, etc etc... which to date I have never ever seen...

My dealer sent me a video after the car's first service, which was just an oil and filter change. All it showed was the car on the ramp - so very informative (NOT).
