    Good morning all
Please I need your help maybe some one on this forum has a idea with my little problem,
I but this bmw 320i 2005 automatic the car runs good no engine lights on I don't have any oil missing no water missing in the engine but its smoking like a chimney I head all the gaschets chainged on the engine apart the valve ones I chainged the injectors with the fuel rail as well I change the oil 2 times now at the beginning If put 5w/30 as recommended but after a few miles I started lusing oil so I decided to put in 5w/40 and I don't lose any more oil but still have the smoke problem I token the car to a few garages and they could not tell me wat is the problem. I would try to take it to BMW but my fear is that they will not investigate the car properly and just give me some scores that are huge
Please any little help will be much appreciated
    Thanks

What colour is the smoke ? Blue / white ?

When you changed the injectors, did you have them coded

    Firstly, welcome aboard :wavey:

Do you have experience(s) which would lead you to that conclusion, or is it based on anecdotal 'evidence'? It won't be cheap, that's for sure, but given that your car is now out of manufacturer's warranty [unless you or a previous chose to extend it?] I'd be looking for a good Indy to look at the car.

    Thanks for your reply
I did went to bmw to change the gaskets on my car and I did told them to have a lock even at the vacuum pump and they said that is OK but it was not as it was dripping oil on the manifold cosing a lot of smoke when I was running the car so I but the gasket and changed myself

Who carried out all this work, and why was it deemed necessary? You've not answered the question by @snrbrtsn about the colour of the smoke? How many miles has the car done?

The car was sitting for 6 months and when I started to use it the oil started leaking from all the places from the oil housing from the valve cover and from that vacuum pump

When you say 'white', do you mean smoke (like from a garden bonfire), or vapour? Many mean 'vapour' when they refer to white smoke, rather than a pungent white smoke, which raises everyone's eyebrows when they see it. Is it there all the time? When hot? Does the car leave a blanket of white smoke when you drive off? What about the smell?

White smoke can be water, but also unburned fuel.

I assume the fuel consumption is high, as part of this issue. IMO, you need to get to someone who can get their hands on the engine. Could be a number of things... why change the injectors? You say it 'was' burning oil. You really need some serious investigation, to check out the fuelling, possibly the compression, crankcase ventilation, read the emissions, etc.

    Thanks Peter
I booked in a mecanic for this Saturday to investigate the problem and do the coding on the injectors, I had to change them as they were not working properly as it was showing that injector 2 and 3 war running lower than injector 1 and 4 and when I token out the fuel rail with the injector the small holls that release the petrol out war clogged so I decided to buy others and have them replaced

This isn't going to be solved by posting partial information on an internet forum. As @Peter says, you need a good mechanic with particular knowledge of BMWs to investigate.

My vote would be failed cylinder head gasket. Have a compression check carried out on the cylinders.

Update - I reread your post. Have you already had new head gasket fitted?

I’m on injectors & LPFP with a tad a tad of HPFP thown in to direct interrogation
However blatant guess work as we’re being spoon feed

There’s also an option of city driving fouling things and all it needs is frequent Abusive jaunts
