Due to COVID, car service date has long expired, circa 70days +
Whilst booked in on first available date (August) would the service stamp be back dated or date of service ?

Anyone experienced or have knowledge ?

I was lucky and got an oil change in before lockdown at the Porsche dealer (£400 yikes!), but I did hear Porsche have extended the warranty to 3 years and 3 months, doesn’t apply to mine as it’s already 3 years. If they extended the warranty that surely means the service intervals are also extended as they assume the car wasn’t used for 3 months over lockdown.
I would assume Merc would do the same, but I don’t know if the stamp would be back dated? I doubt it.

I wonder how much per litre Porsche charged for that "special" oil !

That seems a bit expensive for a stand-alone oil service, Ian.

I’ve got my Macan booked in for its biennial Minor Service on 1st Sept and I’ve been quoted £737 (inc brake fluid change).

I was shocked when I phoned last week to book for Mid-Aug, thinking i was ahead of the curve, only to find that 1st Sept was the earliest date and no courtesy cars until November!

Almost as much as they charge to stand and pour it in, :)

    I’m hopeful
In the sense they date from date carried out,
As I merely borrow the car and pay for privilege, I could technically and within the terms hand back without the need for 4th service...
Whilst this selfishly benefits me, it’s also pivotal to taking out service plan as the schedule alternates between dear service or very dear service. Without the need for 4th service, my benefits/ incentive is reduced

Surely it's far more work and complicated to try and back date everything ?
Imagine paying for a service and getting an invoice with the correct date on yet the OBC shows a different date...mechanics time sheets and bonuses will be worked out on the work they have done on a specific date

Oil, filter and adblue. 400 quid all in. I did ask for a deal before booking it in, but nothing was offered.
It didn’t even need doing, it was just an interim service at 17k miles, it was previously done at 8k. It should be every two years or 20k, it’s now just over three years and 18k and has had two services. The next owner will get a gem.
