Connected Drive still down :(

    I still can't log into my Connected Drive account from PC or phone. Have been trying over the past 2 weeks without success. I phoned them last week and was informed they are working on this issue but couldn't give an indication when it might be fixed.

    Are others able to login?

    I can confirm that there currently is a known issue regarding checking your booked services, however, our technical team are aware and are working hard on a fix as we speak, I can’t confirm when this will be back up and running but they are in the process of being resolved.

    Is anyone else still having problems connecting to the BMW Connected Drive website? I still can't logon.

    I can now access everything - on laptop, phone, and on the i-drive.

    Still can't login to my account. Will chase them up on 21st May... that will be a month after i first contacted them

    Managed to get a bit further today.... error message this time, makes a change from the usual blank screen of death :ranting:

    Cannot access the Connected Drive store from the car either - been like this for about 3 weeks now...

    Yep, I've now got the "Error" message up. I always thought that computers worked in nano seconds. Obviously not at BMW - theirs seem to only function in EONS! Grinding slowly along. :rolleyes:

    Don't think i'll bother renewing if this is the level of service they provide. Already get my (free) map updates elsewhere, can forgo RTTI and make do with TP

    All the renewal prices have been reduced this morning - yet again - 60% off in some cases.

    To celebrate 20 years of Connected drive I believe.

    And mine seems to be working perfectly - hope I haven't spoken too soon. :rolleyes:

    Being cynical, perhaps because they are not getting the uptake/throughput of renewals and need to get more clients on board. Never a celebration!
    Anyway, I cannot see anywhere on the site how long this offer is open for. Has anyone seen a date reference? I am considering going legal for the map updates, but do not land at LHR until late Friday 11th May and hoping it lasts until at least over the weekend.

    Access all ok at my end.

    Can anyone advise me how I would know when the latest map update is released? I have the update service booked until May 2019 but, as was the case with our X3, (out of date map and booked map update service) there appears to be no notification process to tell you to update.

    The only way I've managed to check if the map is out of date or not is to begin the map update process on the PC using the BMW Download Manager which asks you to confirm if you wish to begin downloading "Road Map EUROPE Next 20**-*".........and then compare this to the version currently in the car.

    In theory the download Manager should send you an email/message to inform you that new maps are ready - but .........

    ............... I wouldn't rely too much on that.

    What you are doing is probably the most certain method.

    I've asked the good folks at Connected Drive HQ before for their best guess as to when the next set of maps might appear and was told that new as much as i did as to the likely date.

    So no help there then - and no surprise either.

    We are currently on 2018 - 1 maps, which became available in December 2017 - and several members have expressed dissatisfaction with the number of errors they have found - and with general slowness.

    Personally I haven't experienced any problems but one never knows what is around the corner - no pun intended. :rolleyeses:

    Based on previous experience I would be anticipating the next set (2018-2) to appear mid to late June - perhaps even in early July.

    Some folks who get their maps from other sources may have more info - or as happened last year they may already even have 2018-2 installed, many weeks ahead of BMW making them available officially via the Download Manager.
