Has anyone found really decent door protectors to protect against door edges hitting walls?
The BMW shape ( 3 series, 1 series and X1 and probably the rest) seems to work against standard types.

The push on strip is usually black, clear or chrome and doesn't look good, plus you worry grit will get in there
The standard ones are just plain ugly
Halford do a stick on black slim one that is minimally ugly

Anyone found anything good looking ( or at least not ugly) practical and effective?

Halfords stick on rubber slim ones. Do the job reasonably well.
Never found one for the 3 series that isn't ugly yet.

Thought I'd get front PDC sensors fitted to my 3 series. Mr BMW, £1200......

    I'll skip that one, ta.
