I was loaned a 2025 G20 320i Msport courtesy car for 5 days when my F30 was at the dealership, this week. It only had 5K miles but it looked like a 5 year old car that had never been washed or cleaned. It was filthy inside, with a couple of half empty water bottles in the footwells and partially eaten chocolate bars in the door pockets. Not a great advert for BMW.

Despite that, it was nice to drive - quiet, smooth, and surprisingly good performance for a 2 litre petrol engine - 80 Mph appeared quickly before the 'Bong Bong' warning reminded me to slow down. I only used it locally, with a short run on the M6 motorway. What I didn't like though, was the amount of cheap plastic, on the front of the car around the grill and bumper, and also on the inside trim of doors and dash. the car colour was white with black grill etc.The giant rectangular iPad instrument panel with numerous irrelevant info is not for me - just give me minimal analogue instruments and well labelled switches. The space in the driver's seat was also more compact and cramped than my F30, even though the G20 is supposedly slightly larger overall. The centre console seems larger and butts right up to the seats - not sure why? Maybe they've moved the engine / transmission towards the rear? The wheels were 19 inch low profile, and had the larger Msport brakes with red calipers.

So it won't be on my 'wanted' list any time soon. It was a relief when I climbed back into my F30 330d with full leather, a much nicer place to be. I shall be keeping it as long as it keeps going. It now drives smoother and better than it has ever done. :)

I would say given the state of the car you were probably loaned an employee car, I had that once with VW. Although the employee did come a clear his stuff/rubbish out before giving me the keys.

Had the same experience myself. Drove in with a shiny clean F32 440i and drove out in a filthy 420d GC. The service lady was very apologetic when she handed over the keys to her car.
