My neighbours new M3 Touring arrived yesterday. Just been out for a quick drive in it as am insured on his policy. Took it really gently as needs to do 1200 miles before the running in service. However the steering is great, the ride surprisingly good probably due to being on Pilot 4s'. Colour looks way better in the flesh than in pictures:
Looks stunning, great colour combo. You sure have a trusting neighbour, not sure mine would want to put me on the insurance for his 2019 Quashqi…..
Great looking car and super kind neighbour. My 911 insurance covers anyone over the age of 30 with my permission. However, there’s very few (if any), I’d trust!
Very nice looking G81, and a very trusting neighbour. I don’t even like mine looking at my car let alone even try and open a door. And you should see my face when I have to hand the keys over for service at BMW!!!!
Looks great, love the colour. I have the same seats albeit black in my M440i and I can confirm they are the most comfy BMW seats I have ever had.
He had the same M seats in his M340d albeit the M3's are ventilated and the leather is the softer Merino. Didn't want the carbon buckets.
It's now got a private plate on. Apparently doesn't mean much although he does have 1 M and 1 Z in the fleet...lol He is wanting to do an organised European car trip in September with the same company that we took his Z4 to Scotland with. Hence why I'm insured. He knows my driving style for the last 15 years on trips to Cardiff for the rugby where I do all the driving in my 5.
Never had green caps on any of my cars, my G80 and mini came with the standard cheap grey ones. Also don’t get on with the buckets, lovely when in them but getting in and out is a pain and my wife hated them lol. The standard ones with merino leather are really nice.
Just booked another organised road trip with my neighbour to go in the M3 Touring. Late September this year a trip through Belgium Luxembourg and France down in the Alsace then into Germany with the Black Forest to the Hotel where you sleep next to your car, up to the Ring (although I think we'll drive the Eiffel roads around it) and back. 15 cars in total this time. Same organiser who we did the Scottish trip last year in the Z4. Car has still not had the running in service done yet. Probably not a bad thing considering the weather we have had recently.
