I appear to be being logged out occasionally when browsing the New Posts. This is despite my ticking the "Keep me logged in" box. It's happened few times in the last couple of days. Not sure whether others have experienced the same?

Me as well, but this has been happening while being initially logged in and browsing the posts. Just thought it may be a glitch, but it's easy enough to log back in. ;)

I have a slightly different issue but along the same lines.......

About a week ago I set up a default link on my menu on my browser just after I had logged in. If I click on this link, I find I am always logged in. I then just click on new posts.

When I receive an email from a subscribed thread that someone has replied to, and I click on it, I am not logged in, and accordingly have to log in every time. Even if I have ticked the remain logged in box.

    Strange.

not noticed an issue here all seems to be coming together now with the new site

when it was first set up i had an issue with the e mail notifications and when you clicked the link in the e mail it never took you to the post but that has settled down now and seems to be working

Getting logged out happens regularly to me too (despite setting it to staying in), but only on my iPhone.

I have no such problem with my iPad.

If this continues please let me know. One thing that may be worth checking is if you have a shortcut (like I do on my menu bar) in your browser or on your desktop. When the site was launched it was prefixed by http but is now https so please check the properties of you shortcut and change it if you need to.

Just received the email and clicked "View This Thread". I still had to login to answer!

Using my already configured browser menu link, I was already logged in. I hope this makes sense?

Hmm, not sure what's going on here. I'll do some digging, I don't have this problem which makes me think that it's not necessarily a site issue.

Just so you are aware, it does not happen on any other forum or site, only on this one.

Having played around with Google Chrome I can replicate the problem, I'm on Safari so it doesn't happen for me. The issue is with https settings. For those using Chrome it may be worth deleting the BMWLand cookies as I suspect they'll still point to http and as Chrome treats this as insecure it's forcing you to log in. Remove the cookies, revisit the website using https which should re-register the cookies and try again.

I've just logged onto the site using using https://www.bmwland.org.uk in Chrome, gone back to the email and clicked the link and I've gone back to the thread without having to login. You need to see this in Chrome:

I was seeing this to begin with:

I deleted my cookies, closed Chrome and restarted and began entering BMWLand as a search term and Chrome is now finding https:

    This should fix it.

@The CO I was having problems with being logged out in February, which was solved by deleting cookies and bookmarking the new https link.
But for some reason it is now happening again, every few minutes.

    Anyone else experiencing issues?
