My Taycan Turbo finally arrived and collected. ( although my biz partners has gone missing ) Cars amazing. But having a bit of “range anxiety”. Probably due to a 200 mile drive home from Hatfield to Leeds - then plugging in at home on what feels like a trickle charge - fortunately can charge 3phase at work much faster. Hopefully that will pass as I get accustomed to not having the guarantee that I can go down to 20mile range and know I can get fuel anywhere. Fortunately the longer trips are rare, but also one of the reasons why we changed the mini to a CX5. Obviously it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. But it made financial sense to me and my company meaning between me and the company I am a lot better off in this than the Panamera or any ICE car.
Beautiful, Rich. Love that and will be interested to hear how you get on with it longer term. Not that I’ll be in the market for one anytime soon, but it’s a stunning car & one I’ve read great reviews about.
What a beauty. I saw one of these in dark grey a few weeks ago, looks brilliant in the metal. Out of my financial range at the moment, or forever if truth be told, but very much interested in seeing how you get on with this. I’ve read some rave reviews. Enjoy!
Spotted one of these the other day. Not usually my thing but the power, range and charge times are highly impressive. Not to mention glowing reviews in the test drives. I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy it Ed
Lovely Rich, Not sure about the white brake callipers though.... They will need a regular clean... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’d embark on neck strengthening exercises, as I can only imagine the amount of times the walk away glance is effected would be high. That’s stunning!
Its standard colour although i prefer the acid green ones. I have some ceramic coating to put on the wheels at the weekend which seemed to do a great job on the green ones on the Panamera. More worried about the cost of new discs, they are enormous
If it’s got re-gen braking, you won’t be needing the brake pedal Rich..??? Discs will last for ages.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks fantastic. Saw one in the metal a few days ago and it certainly has presence. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it
That is very nice. A nice metallic blue would have been my choice, but nice all the same. unfortunately, unless money is no object, these simply don’t work for private buyers at present. A good old diesel is still the king of economy for the private buyer IMO. one day though.....
Never had discs changed on the hybrids either. I am more a fan of lift off coasting, rather than lift off regen braking, but will be playing with it over time to see what's best. Looks like it has a few ways of setting it up. Trouble is these days manuals whether paper of electronic don't explain stuff enough. I like to know how and why and dissect it.
