Seems really old hat having to update SatNavs, I just stick to Google Maps now....have been very impressed with live info too....
@The_Master - is that Google maps displayed on the i-Drive? I've tried various alternatives to the BMW system,, but they all seem to need an Internet connection / roaming datause for outside the UK. I travel frequently in mainland Europe both in EU countries and further afield. Since Brexit calls and data in the EU have become expensive. As for data outside the EU - words fail me.
+1 for the Google Maps via CarPlay these days. Being older CIC and still wanting latest I was checking earlier for a 2026 update for mine. No more support for CIC anymore, BMW have deemed it either not cost effective or more likely cars with that fitted should be off the road and money spent on newer models, so 2025-2 was the last CIC Premium (West / East) and no more coming. Anyway the part of my OCD that says car must have latest is appeased and I’m comfortable with the fact if all else fails then at least it’s as current as can be on the cars built in own system.
