This thread has got me thinking about these alleged extra miles. The computer says I’ve built up 37 extra miles. However, when I filled the car it said 55l with 406 mile range. I’ve done 277 miles on this tank, the car now says 29l with 309 mile range….

Bonus miles won't be simply based on range, as that is a rolling calculation and is really telling you what the range will be at your current consumption rate.

Well yes. Car's done 277 miles and used 26 litres, which is just over 10 miles per litre. So with 29L to be used you can expect just over 290 miles. Which is what the computer indicates.

Just forget the bonus miles - it's there to make you feel good after driving for Miss Daisy.
