Hi All I have a 2011 E93 330d convertable I am looking to locate the fuse that runs the soft close on my boot as i think it has blown. Not having any booklet on where fuses are all help would be much appricated
Welcome Ray Can’t say I can offer much help, other than a google search There’s normally a fuse box in the Right hand side of boot, behind carpet, easily removed panel Once located, there “should” be a pull out page with fuse box layout schematic, I believe there’s also a fuse box behind the glovebox Thinking aloud, the latch actuators were prone to failure, I recall changing on E60 Somebody, more knowledgable shall be along!
More likely to be a faulty sensor or microswitch, unlikely that there would be be a fuse dedicated for a single function such as closing the compartment lid. I assume all other electrical functions are still working ok?
You could be correct My recollection was indeed fouled and it turned out to be the external boot switch that failed The rubber covered toggle to manually open, when I replaced the switch I restored function of the soft close!
