Retrofitting power fold mirrors

My final challenge (after which I will be a happy man ) is to find a way to get the key fob to fold mirrors on lock and unfold on open without losing my roof opening operations
If any of the genius’s out there like a challenge..........................

 

Look for SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP in the frm (or nfrm) and set that to aktiv.

Either F33 doesn’t have that or bimmercode app doesn’t show it

 

Wondering if that's because it's a convertible and the option isn't available?

 

For some reason I thought you had an E9x of some sort. I think the option would be in the FEM body module, but if it's not there I don't know what else to suggest.

 

No worries and thanks for all your help in sorting all the other stuff. I am going to try something else tomorrow. The fob setting is obviously disabling my roof switch. So I am going to set the code for the roof to the opposite ( my logic lol) and see what happens. There MUST be a way

 

Sadly my latest attempt hasn't worked either
Surely there has to be a way to achieve this. I could do it on my previous Mercedes and Audi convertibles

Just bought my 1st 4 series (435d Xdrive) after years of 5 series ownership.
This is the first mod I'm doing, just waiting for the mirrors to arrive and the OBD port for Bimmercode. I have heated / memory seats and mirror side dip so looks like it'll be quite an easy upgrade

My install is all complete, Used Esys to code FA option 430 but couldn't read my FEM using Esys ( needed a later version of psdzdata I think ) so I completed it using Bimmercode, all working well

 

If you have copies of the full cheat sheets then the module info for coding should also be there. Might try this app may be better than using my laptop, need to code stop start to memory status and code rear lights to on with DRL's.

Does this app give you full functionality to all modules and is the Bluetooth stable ?

Careful as all the Vgate stuff is not recommended by the app developer It's stated on the app under supported adapters nobody wants a drop out when coding!!

I’m planning this retrofit and can you confirm that the F33 convertible has the 5 pin wing mirrors as standard?

I can do all the retrofit, the wiring bit seems daunting and may put me off doing it.
