Hi, and welcome to BMWLand. :)

Here's a possible answer - no guarantees though.

That's a 12 year old M47 engine - so it's just the right age for the big rubber pipe that runs from the Intercooler to the EGR valve to develop splits or start to delaminate on the inside.

Feel all around the pipe - especially on the back and the inside of the 90 degree bend for splits - take care if you do that with the engine running!

Replacement is a piece of cake but a VERY dirty job as the pipe will be full of crud - a mixture of engine oil and exhaust soot.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the response, ive had the engine read again and these codes came up, but this mechanic said its the injections 4620 rail pressure plausibility delivery controlled, I’m not convinced, i have tomorrow off work so i am going to have a good luck at all the breather/vacuum pipes

When I’ve had a similar symptom on my other diesel cars, non-BMW, I’ve usually found it’s something to do with:
    Air flow/filter, check and clean.
Turbo and IC pipes, check for air leaks etc
Air Mass Flow sensor, take out and clean/replace
    Boost sensor, check/replace.
Dirty injectors, add injector cleaner into a half tank of diesel (some say snake oil but has worked for me)
DPF/EGR fouled, clean or replace. EGR in particular can cause rough running and excess soot/smoke.
Fuel filter, when was it last replaced?
Glow plug failure, probably not given the car starts and runs, but worth a check that they are all operational

This would be the list to look at for me.
