Managed to obtain full hospitality tickets through some contacts (so I didn’t have to part with ~£300) to visit the Salon Privé Concurs event at Blenheim Palace this week. I drove down the night before, stayed near Witney at the Bird in Hand, a lovely pub with rooms, excellent food. The next day was a marvellous day out, with some fabulous cars to enjoy, along with all you could eat and drink, while negotiating a new deal on a yacht, helicopter or a Boeing Business Jet. OK, I didn’t do the latter bits but I nearly bought a new hat. It was all finished off with a cars’ parade through Woodstock in the evening. A selection of highlights in the photos attached. Everything from 100+ year old Rolls Royces, to some curiosities (DB5 shooting brake, anyone?), a 2000bhp Lotus EV, a Ferrari 335 which had been driven by Fangio, Moss et al, and a couple of brands new to me – Zenvo & Naran. Dizzee Rascal appeared in one of the Lambos as well, alongside His Grace.
Some rare and eclectic machinery there! Looks to have been an amazing day out. I know Woodstock well, perfect setting for a car convoy. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing them. Blenheim Palace is just down the road from where we live (Freeland) and have taken our neighbour's dog for a walk.
