The latest addition to my stable is this Giant Rapid 1

I was looking for a disc brake hybrid that can fulfil many duties, namely commuting, shopper and general park bike when riding with the family. It needed to be mudguard compatible for the winter months and still be light enough to enjoy riding when the summer road bike is in hibernation and on Turbo duties (more on that in a later thread).
for now - enjoy the pics :)

I had a Kona Dr Fine hybrid until December when someone nicked the saddle at the station. I've just bought a BMC Alpenchallenge AC01 hybrid with belt drive from Evans, £1699 reduced to £1199, bargain. I then bought the proper BMW mudguard kit £115, and pedals £39. I now need to insure it as I leave it at the station every day.

No pictures as yet, but here's a link:

Funny enough, I looked at that BMC before opting for the Giant. Only reason being I'm a fan of them, as the roadie is also Giant.

Isn't the BMC a bit too nice to be left at the station. I wouldn't leave anything but a skip bike there all day.

Funnily I looked at Giant before BMC! I liked the belt drive and Alfine gears though.
