I was invited to have a look at the new X7 today, it has quite the road presence. The model shown is the 3.0D tein turbo priced c.£80k[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

That is one hell of a slab of car. No doubt soon to be seen on the school run near me soon.

It's got a SNOUT that only a mother could love. :D

This man purchased one and said that it's his dream car.

I can't get over the hideous grille - well out of proportion to the lights, number plate and lower valance area. (n)

Part of the problem is it looks like it's encroaching on everything else, pushing the lights outwards, the bonnet upwards and the central part of the bumper downwards.

I saw the new M135i X Drive while I was there too. Its not a pretty car, and the fact it is FWD makes the purist in me angry haha

That's actually the only part of the vehilce I like. The front end view does look good, in my view.

The interior, switchgear and fabrics/materials used can he found in many other BMWs up and down the range.

Overall, it's nothing special IMHO and certainly not worth £80k.

If it was meant to compete with the RR Vogue, BMW failed miserably, sadly.

Makes me appreciate things like the E38 and E39 even more. I find it really sad that so called luxury cars are now accountant's exercises and to get something remotely special you have to spec it with £30k of extras from BMW Individual.

I walked past a BMW with UK plates in the local airport carpark, and thought, "my God, that's seriously ugly, I wonder what it is". Well now I know - hello to the new X7.

don't like the enlarged grill BMW are now incorporating into latest designs. It makes me question if I will stay with BMW after the X3.

That’s what my son said when we were at sytners Sheffield... the switches and interior are the same on nearly all of the cars... and he thought they felt cheap...!
