On a side note, I do like Mat Watson's style of reviewing cars. Is he on YouTube only?

Great looking cruiser. Sports car? No , too heavy.

Putting a diesel into it is sacrilege.

Matt does most of the carwow videos and he is great .... A top contender when Le Blanc leaves in 2019?

I certainly would not be buying the diesel version - not in a car like that. :driving:

I'm sure a few would be happy in an 820d. :)

Not too sure on some of the 'busy' bits of the design, but does look as if BMW are making a good package in the 8-series. I'm sure it will look quite striking in the metal, cabin a great place to be for long distance cruising. (y)

I believe the car can have carbon roof, front grills and rear defuser and is nimble for a quite a large car - the M850ix packs 530bhp!

i like it obviously... but like all these things, it isn't really what we were promised is it...?.
as i've said before...I think it will be porsche next for me....my days of needing 4 seats are almost at an end.....as my child ( adult ..!!) is almost ready to not require my assistance for too much longer....
    ye ha...

I quite like it but surely this should be badged and priced as a replacement for the current 6 series. If BMW are really serious about trying to get people out of 911's the 8 series should be smaller and more focused.
