It's a miserable Bank Holiday weekend in the frozen North so I thought I'd give Bella a bit of TLC. It's been about 3 years since I had the outer sills off so whipped them off to have a look, not to bad considering she's an all year round car in the wettest County in England. A good clean, sand away any corrosion and add a good lashing of POR15 then take a look at the rest of the underneath and clean/treat as I go. The inner sills still look solid post my last clean and touch-up so happy with that. Only very basic tools required though having a lift helps.
The garage space and the lift look to be a real bonus, most envious. Looks super clean and rust free behind those outer cills. A testament to a thorough prep and maintenance regime.
Cheers mate. Got a bit carried away and have started to extend the TLC to the whole underneath, removing and curing any corrosion spots as I go and about 1/3 of the way through so a few weekends worth of work but most satisfying. Luckily I have a small barn for a garage so room is not an issue, the lift sure helps and means I can sit on my stool and work on the arches and suspension sitting down.
