Vans to be banned from cities under radical transport plan

    https://www.petrolprices.com/news/vans-banned-from-cities/
A radical new transport plan is currently being outlined by the government. It could see vans banned from city centres under measures to improve air quality and reduce emissions. The Department of Transport is also looking to replace vans in city centres with micro-electric vehicles including cargo bikes, electric vans and minor vehicles.

I got to the bit where it says, "The government foresee things like the widespread use of self-drive cars and even flying vehicles..." Then I almost spilt my coffee laughing!! :ROFLMAO:

"Cloud Cuckoo Land" springs to mind. It'll never happen - at least not in my lifetime.
Like always, saying something and actually doing it are two completely different things.

So where will all the vans go instead? There's far too many of them blocking our motorways already...
As for flying cars, Health & Safety will never allow it. it's bad enough with half the motoring population spending more time on Facebook or texting while driving than concentrating on the road.

Unless they mean drones...Amazon have been toying with drones delivering parcels. As a health and safety person I foresee so many potential problems with that.

Or you could what I’ve done...
fit a seat and some furniture... and reclassify as a motor caravan...
And there’s still enough room for delivery items..
