As many folks on here may know my car sits outside in all weathers. It suffers from bird droppings, leaf-stains, and of course rain-spots. It's very well protected by a coating of CarPlan No.1 SuperGloss applied two or three times a year. I've found the SuperGloss stuff almost as effective as the Ceramic Coating that CarPlan and others do - but a whole lot easier to apply and buff up. Those with electric polishers might prefer the ceramic, but for an old-school codger like me with arthritis of the fingers, I much prefer the 'wipe on, wipe off' of the SuperGloss. Anyhow, back to the detailer - between washes with snow-foam like products, I've been accustomed to giving the car a going over with various brands of detailer, at least twice a week. Anyhow - on to my latest 'discovery' - Its called CarPlan No.1 SuperDry Waterless Wash & Wax. No way would I ever dream of using this as a waterless wash product - but as a detailer, it's superb. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/c...ri---waterless-wash-and-wax-600ml-720014.html For the princely sum of £6.17 you can try it too. A quick squirt and a wipe with a microfiber and the jobs done. Like many others I didn't use to consider CarPlan products as they were 'too cheap to be of good quality'. I still use brands like AutoGlym, Valet Pro, and Meguiars for other purposes - but for my detailing needs this stuff is the answer.
Might just give that a try. Same price delivered on Amazon save me a 45 mile round trip. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Waterless-...8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1
I am seeing a lot of products rejuvenated I’m still making attempts at working through shelves, being forgetful of the stock piling that must of went on some years back…… All I need is slight encouragement…. I still can’t see past Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer as a last contact wash last touch when used as drying aid Quick mist and wipe brings much lustre
Ha, I bought a bottle of the Meguair's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax 768ml last week. While I thought it was pretty good you only get 2 or 3 goes from one bottle (4 if very mean with it), I didnt think it was great value for money - best part of £20 a bottle. I must say I'm not overly conviced its any less faff than getting the wax out and waxing the car properly, and I worry about a bit if grit on the body work and scratching it.
