Given that I'll never be able to afford one of these latest models with the mahoosive grilles, it's largely academic for me - but dare I say I quite like that last pic ^.....
Yes Mike, supposedly the new G80. Wouldn't be seen dead in that... would have to be the first into work, park in a hedge, then the last to leave. Would still be the laughing stock with the neighbours It just looks a complete load of
Erm! Phoenix yellow (it’s probably not, but close enough to get my liking) Re the grill, a bit of vinyl between the slats and an Audi hologram on the sills - No one will know the difference after debadging. I see plenty of x7s and 7 series just now and sadly the emmensiveness works in America... every incarnation has had its critics which to a degree I understand, I’ve liked most updates, however I’m led to believe that Bmw has taken reactive measures and lagging behind Audi (feel free to stone me!) they appear followers as opposed to innovators
This a pic borrowed from a Member's thread/posts over of DW, who posted pics of his new Z4 after it had been detailed - I never noticed the grilles in the 'blurb' ads but I have to say I'm not keen on them.. I didn't tell him, of course , although I did comment of the black alloys [well, he asked for comments] and he agreed, saying he wasn't really sure about them either. He just ordered them in black for a change....
Now that, I do quite like, although I've never really been into black cars. Even the grills don't look too bad, compared to BMW's current design faux pas.
I've never been a fan of completely black grilles. Then again, my tastes seem often to be at odds: I quite like the bigger grilles.
Take away those Grilles and it ll look like a Mercedes from the front , and the rear roofline looks like the back of a baby seagull
Is that actually a grille, or a styling [sic] feature - because there's an electric motor lurking.....? The placement of the number plate seems odd when, even if the grille 'slats' open thermostatically to allow air passage, seems strange?
