I would also fill in the I am not happy and need to let you know link see if the above links get your phone ringing, you have tried being a nice guy and you have been ignored so now it is time to start rattling cages
Funny you should of posted that link @mach one I was just literally on the page and thinking about submitting my feed back on the form. Going to take a look and see what details etc they need now. Kev
@mach one All 3 forms submitted, I copied and pasted same info on each one so lets wait and see what happens now. I've advised I want a decision by the end of the week so lets see if anyone phones/emails now. Kev
Will still phone dealership tomorrow if no call, will just have to keep going till i get a decision... Kev
I would not phone them tomorrow and see if they can be bothered to respond to any of the forms that you filled in Also do you use Twitter @sytnerBMW, not many complaints on their Twitter feed so a few words from a disgruntled customer may just poke the Bear
Don't use Twitter myself but will keep it in mind as if no replies, i might try it and see what happens. Thanks! Kevin
Most companies dont like you taking your issues to social media as anybody that follows them can see what poor service they are actually giving their customers, and a post on Facebook or a tweet can often get things moving in the right direction
Yes, very true. I'll see if i get any calls/emails tomorrow and if not, might post on twitter as you suggested and see if that gets a response. Kev
that is quoted from one of @Spuffington posts about an issue he was having with his motor home and a tweet to the right person can get results, I cant understand why they can ignore numerous phone calls but one tweet seems to get them moving
Maybe its because no one seems to "talk" these days.. its all instant message/text/email/facebook/twitter... picking up the phone and talking to someone seems to unheard of. I have the same in work, most people say oh i'll email so and so, rather than picking up the phone and calling them. Kev
Phone calls can be disputed or easily forgotten. Putting a complaint in writing normally carries more weight - it's a permanent record. So my advice is get it in writing - either Email or social media such as Twitter of Facebook. And if you still don't get any response, forward a copy to Munich . . . .
By the time Kev gets a reply, the wheels will be so corroded they will be falling off the hubs. Where's the courtesy of something like "sorry for the delay, we are still working at it", if they are having problems with getting a decision from BMW. Peter
I know from comments posted on another forum i frequent that Shytner have a dreadful reputation, owned by the yanks so i avoid them anyway. Good luck Kev, hope you hear of a positive outcome very soon.
They are all the same @Adie , even Park Lane did not call me back when I enquired about my last oil service. The problem in my area is that there are so many dealers that are snowed under with work, they do not want to hassle of calling people back as they already have enough work to be getting on with. When I did eventually speak to Park lane they had a 6 week wait just for an oil service.
Hi all, Got a call just after 8am this morning! Was the person who was out yesterday afternoon and got a request to call me today and apologised for calling so early, which I said was fine as I was actually in work. So he has spoken to the other person dealing with it and it seem they made a complete hash of it. The correct procedure for the warranty claim wasn't followed. They now require the car back and the person who called me is taking over the case and will personally oversee the process. They have said the easiest way to deal with this is take my car down, leave it with them for 2-3 days whilst they process the claim and get the new wheels in. They will give me a loan car. Ive asked if I can bring the car in on a Saturday as due to work/shifts I can't get to them before they close at the moment. So we arranged for 15th Sept. They will then start processing on Monday as the person is not in on the weekend. Not sure how they will get the wheels that quick unless they are in stock... Kev
Yes @kleynie was in shock when phone rang, so used to no calls etc. In fairness this person has returned my call which gives me a bit more hope it will get sorted but maybe the 3 forms I submitted yesterday evening had resulted in a phone call or email to him to get it sorted. Unfortunately I'm a bit stuck to get car to them earlier than 15th... Kev
